Over the Bank Holiday weekend of 29th – 30th April 2023 Shevington Football Club U12’s took part in a Welsh Football Tournament in Rhyl, playing teams from England, Ireland and Wales.
Orb Rope Access has had the pleasure of sponsoring the kits since the creation of the team 6 years ago. It has been a fantastic journey watching the team grow in skills, confidence and size!
It is very important to the team at Orb to be able to offer opportunities outside of the school environment to the grassroots team.
During the Welsh Tournament the team drew 2 matches and won 3, which saw them enter the final as 2nd place In the league having not been beaten.
However, after putting In Immense effort and never giving up right until the last minute, when even the goalkeeper came out of his net to support the team on a corner kick, it wasn’t to be, and they came out with a 2-1 defeat.
With the final league match taking pace at home on Saturday 13th May 2023, the team will move ‘onwards and upwards’ to theU13’s league, Increasing the team to 11 a-side and a squad of 16. This meaning, that the team at Orb will be on hand to sponsor the new kits once again.
Orb Rope Access have never been prouder of the way the team conducted themselves both at the tournament and throughout this season.
